Tata Steel signs MoU with MOL to working on reducing GHG emissions in supply chain2021-08-26

India’s Tata Steel has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), one of the largest full-line marine transport groups in the world, to jointly develop and deploy environment-friendly shipping solutions.

The move was aimed to realize Tata Steel''s target to achieve greater sustainability as well as work to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the steel production supply chain.

In the initial stage, they will explore various technologies'' environmental benefits and commercial and operational feasibility. According to the recent-established MOL Group Environmental Vision 2.1, MOL Group will make more effort to achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2050.
